I investigated Miami's tech scene. Here's what I found.

South Florida has potential to become the next big American tech hub. If only it could address these six challenges.

I have been in Florida for a week learning about the Miami Tech Ecosystem. Here is what I have learned:

1. There is SO MUCH enthusiasm post-election

Since Trump won re-election, the city has felt so much pro-business, pro-tech sentiment. People are excited to work with Israel and collaborate on tech projects and initiatives. 'America First' just means 'Not China'

2. Miami Tech has never seen an exit. That needs to change.

The ecosystem is growing and plenty of people from New York and California are moving here. But the city has never benefited from a high-value tech exit.

San Francisco, NYC, and Tel Aviv all have histories of building businesses that get bought by big companies. Miami is falling behind and needs a win to attract more talent. Speaking of talent...

3. Miami needs a more robust school system.

A real consideration among investors and entrepreneurs is where their children will go to school.

Young founders may not think about this, but they will one day. And older investors are already concerned about how to bring their children here.

The region needs more schools, more teachers, and more options for parents.

4. It really is Tel Aviv on American soil!
